Sustainability
We are committed to making positive differences in the world by redesigning the way we work and live. Sustainability is part of everything we do.
RTK Guiding System
We use RTK guiding system in our tractors for precision driving to reduce trips across the field which reduces fuel consumption.
IVT Transmission Control
We use IVT Transmission Control in our tractors to synchronize the motor and transmission to make them the most Fuel Efficient Tractors.
No-Till methods
We use No-Till methods which helps against soil erosion, agricultural runoff, and building organic matter.
Environmental Quality Incentives Program
We follow EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentives Program) which helps reduce non-point source pollution, emissions, soil erosion, and promotion of at-risk species habitat conservation.
2009 Conservation Farmer of the Year
We grew up on the family farm and chose to return after school. We liked the limited potential of production agriculture and it's all we have known. We have expanded our operation from row crops and melons to include pumpkins, sweet corn, and green beans. When we started farming we were using an intensive tillage system on all of our acres. Then in the late 70's, dad decided to try no-tilling corn into a rye cover crop on some of our sand ground. Since then we have moved into a no-till system for our corn, soybeans, wheat and pumpkins acreage. We plant our melon acreage into cover crops in the fall and use plastic much during the growing season to help control weeds, soil erosion and moisture loss.
Since we have went to a no-till system we have noticed that soil structure and water retention have increased and erosion has decreased.

Over the years of transitioning to no-till, information and technology have been the most important tools to our conservation success. Meetings, talking to veteran no-tillers, and professionals such as agronomists, and conservation personel have helped to make our conservation practices a success.
The conservation practices implemented by Mouzin Brothers have helped the productivity of the farm by using less labor, fuel, pesticides, and fertilizers to produce the crops grown. It has also helped to save valuable top soil, moisture, and organic matter that have contributed to the success of the farm.
